1. Information ARKIYO may process
ARKIYO may process trip details you enter, such as dates, preferences, selected places, itinerary choices, reservations you add, check-ins, ratings, and reviews. You can explore and plan as a guest, in which case that information stays in your browser on the device you used. If you create an ARKIYO account, your profile, trip setup, discovery preferences, check-ins and reviews are also stored in ARKIYO's hosted database so they can follow you across devices.
2. Accounts and sign-in
Accounts are optional for exploring and planning. During the public beta, paid checkout is closed and full trip access is free. Sign-in uses Google sign-in or an emailed sign-in link. When you sign in we process your email address, the account identifier issued by the sign-in provider, and any display name or avatar that provider shares. Signing in for the first time may copy trip and progress information already saved in your browser into your account. Account, access, and data requests can be submitted through the Contact page's ARKIYO support form for manual review; no response time or email reply is promised.
3. Location information
ARKIYO requests location only when a location-aware feature such as Live Mode is active and you grant browser permission. Location supports contextual guidance while the web app is open. ARKIYO does not claim to collect constant or background GPS location after the app or browser tab is closed.
4. Browser storage, beta analytics and service data
Browser storage can remember trip and discovery choices on your device. During the public beta, ARKIYO also records limited first-party product events such as the page or feature viewed, a random session identifier, the page path, event time, and small non-sensitive metadata fields. This helps us understand whether core flows work and diagnose reliability problems. Product analytics are designed not to include your email address, precise GPS coordinates, support-message content, credentials, or payment-card details.
Connected service providers may process technical information needed to host the product, provide maps or place information, route requests, store supported product data, and maintain reliability. Their handling of information is governed by their applicable terms and privacy practices.
5. Payments
Paid checkout is closed during the public beta, so ARKIYO is not currently collecting new payment or card details. If paid access is introduced later, the checkout provider and the information stored by ARKIYO will be described here before paid checkout opens.
6. How information is used
Information is used to provide and improve trip discovery, planning, itinerary, Live Mode, reservation-awareness, exploration, review, safety, and reliability features. ARKIYO does not sell travel inventory and does not use location to promise continuous tracking.
7. Your choices
You can deny or revoke location permission through your browser. You can also clear browser storage through your browser settings, which may remove locally saved trips and preferences. If you have an account, access and deletion requests may be submitted through the ARKIYO support form on the Contact page for manual review. The support inbox does not promise a response time or email reply.
8. Support requests, abuse prevention and operational logs
When you send the ARKIYO support form, the category you choose, the message you type, and any reply email address you optionally provide are stored so a person can read the request. The form does not ask for or store your name. To limit automated abuse, ARKIYO derives a keyed, one-way hashed fingerprint from coarse request metadata instead of storing raw IP addresses; those short-lived throttle records are deleted about a day after last use. If a notification destination is configured, ARKIYO may send only non-identifying event metadata (such as an event code and a link to the internal queue) to that destination — never your message or email address. ARKIYO also writes redacted operational logs and error/event counters to run the service reliably; those are designed to exclude message content, credentials and personal details.
9. Changes to this policy
ARKIYO may update this policy as the product and its connected services change. The date above identifies the latest published version.
